Tackling A Tough Subject... In the end, it doesn’t really matter what you call it; dating, courting, going-out, hooking up, or whatever. All these activities still fall under the same boundaries that God has set up. We are here to focus on several key points: What are the boundaries that God has set up for us concerning relationships and marriage? Why are those boundaries set up in the first place? And how can we live within those boundaries. God isn’t against sex. In fact sex is a gift from God but only within his boundaries of marriage ( 1 Cor. 7:1-5). When God made the universe, he designed sex to be good and pure but our world and culture has polluted and diluted God's true purpose for sex. With our theme "Why Wait?" we will have a honest discussion on love, sex, dating, boundaries, friendships and relationships. Students will receive tools ...
Middle School Missions Trip!
That's right the first ever complete missions trip for middle schoolers! It will be held in the Black Hills area and on the Pine Ridge Native American Reservation in SD. Saturday, June 12th- Friday, June 18th, 2010. For current 6th-8th graders. We will be joined with the 8th grade class from Glen Ellyn Bible Church (from Glen Ellyn, IL) throughout the week. Wednesday, Feb. 24th we will be joined by the youth pastor of Glen Ellyn student ministry Dan Riemer. He will be giving his testimony and we will be sharing more information about the trip including our theme, schedule, and possible cost. To check out their student ministry's website click HERE. High School Missions Trip!
For the past couple of months we have been praying and discerning God's will for summer 2010. After much discussion and prayer we feel called to New York City. On August 1st-8th we will be traveling and staying in New York where were will be doing light construction work, sports evangelism, working with the homeless, street drama, and children's ministry.
