Radiate (High School) Sunday, Jan. 22nd From 6-8pm Ignite (Middle School) Wednesday, Jan. 25th From 6-8pm The roughest, toughest football game every played with a teddy bear! We are asking all youth to come dressed in their team’s colors (either blue or green). And for those youth who aren’t playing we will have popcorn, hotdogs, and all kinds of goodies while they watch the game… Cost is FREE!

Get Ready for Another Great Week! What Will We Do: This is an exciting opportunity to give students a chance to minster to the needy and poverty stricken people around the Black Hills and on the Pine Ridge Native American Reservation. Our youth will be able to serve side by side with a youth ministry from a church in the Chicago area (Glen Ellyn Bible Church). This is the same church that joined us the past 2 years, although it will be a completely new set of 8th graders from Glen Ellyn Bible Church that will join us. Date: Friday, June 22nd – Saturday, June 30th 2012 Returning This Year: The team will be VBS leaders again this year at Bible Fellowship Church’s Whole Family VBS from Sunday-Tuesday evenings on June 24th-26th. Clusters (Small Groups)
Our High School Small Group Ministry! 6-8pm weeknights throughout the school year. Meeting in pre-approved homes throughout the community. Webster’s dictionary defines a “cluster” as: “A group of the same or similar elements gathered closely together. To gather or grow in bunches.” Clusters are our high school small group ministry that is designed to combine people of similar interests to learn, grow, and mature in their faith together. These groups will coincide with the Awana and Ignite ministries that meet on week nights from 6-8pm. However, what’s different about this ministry is instead of meeting at the church we will be meeting in pre-approved homes throughout the community. Our youth ministry’s goal is to “guide our youth to ‘Grow Deeper’ in their relationship with God and to ‘Go Wider’ in their influence!” And this ministry’s purpose is to have youth grow deeper in their faith through discipleship and discovering God’s word together in ...
The Final Countdown!!! (New Year’s)
The Uprising & 97.9 The Point Presents: 2011-2012 New Year’s Over-Nighter!! We will be doing something different this year for New Year’s. We will be partnering with 10+ churches to combine our efforts to put on the biggest overnighter the Black Hills has ever seen. This event is called “The Final Countdown” held at the Civic Center. Carpooling is NOT required but given if you sign up with this slip. When: Friday, Dec. 31st - Jan. 1st 7pm-7am Where: Rapid City’s Civic Center (Rushmore Hall across from the hockey arena) Driving: Drop off and pick up at BFC (NO LATER than 6:00pm return to BFC at 7:15am) If you ride on the van there, expect to ride on the van when you come back. The “whatever works” philosophy has infiltrated every dimension of this generation’s decision-making including their thoughts on dating and sex. And with the introduction of facebook to the world the whole dating scene has changed. Trust and boundaries have been blurred; technology is as much a part of dating as holding hands. The world is becoming more sexual saturated and knowing and understanding God’s boundaries for love, dating, and sex are being drowned out with messages of “whatever feels good” and “everyone decides what is right for them.” Teenagers are going to learn about sex and dating from someone, and wouldn’t we want them to learn Biblical principles from their parents and church first?
